I am categorizing some transaction with the online banking app I have with my credit union. I’m tapping on / clicking on Internet. To categorize CTC. Shopping was at Superone for Groceries. I am going to click on the search filter. For this example, I am going to pick the date range of April 1st through April 30th. Then I am going to categorize credit dividends as interest income Then I going to click on that down arrow to download those transaction Then click the Download format as comma separated values Click the download button. Then I’m going to open google sheets. Then I’m going to open the file clicker button. Looks like a folder Then click on the upload option Then browse Then exported transactions opened up. In Google sheets And then click sort sheet from A to Z From the categories transactions Then II delete this reference column Then I add a new column Equal sign sum and then a left parenthesis, Then I select all of the cells of the food and dining Then a right parenthesis Enter key or return key And then the same for health and. Fitness I am going to get the equal sign in. And then sum left parenthesis. And I am going to select those transactions And then put the right parenthesis in. And then I’m changing this category for mobile phone boost mobile Changing that to cell phone. Type it in there. Type in cell phone. Then I go Divide this by 12 since I am going to select that number Slash means divide 12 in there I press enter / return For this category it is the only one for interest income so I press equal sign Tao that amount press enter Then I am going to add the laundry amount personal care. It is almost $30 Then add the shopping So add up within the cell I did that with the rest of the categories Then I am going to put in the categories together In different columns already calculated So I am copying them and pasting special into Pasting the values only Copying with command C, control c on another Pasting the values only Food and dining which is mostly groceries and vending machines Copying the Total income and pasting the values only on the top This education amount don’t look accurate for a monthly amount. Divide by 4 ummm Divide by 5 that will still have… For monthly amount Divide that by 5 I am going to paste that special Values only Health and fitness over Paste in special the rest of the values And then sum up the total And put the dollar signs in Added rent and other income
